Simplify your online session setup process by integrating Webex to your idloom account

By connecting Webex directly to your idloom account, you can create sessions in idloom and have the corresponding online meetings instantly generated in Webex. This can cut your setup time in half, while ensuring your sessions remain perfectly synchronized between both platforms. The result is a faster, more reliable setup process and a smoother experience for attendees.

Step-by-step setup of cisco webex integration

Before you begin, make sure you have a valid Cisco Webex account and a Webex access token. You’ll also need admin rights to setup the integration.

To access the integration, open the Integrations section in your idloom account. From there, click Create integration and select Cisco Webex.

1. create and activate the integration

  • In the Integrations menu, select Cisco Webex.

  • Enter your Webex token (https://developer.webex.com). You can access the portal with your account credentials. 

  • Decide whether you want the integration active for all events (profile-level) or only for one specific event.

    • At profile-level, the integration will automatically be available everywhere.

    • At event-level, you can activate it later from the Geeks section of that event.

2. configure ticket categories and options

Open the event you want to configure and go to Tickets > Settings. There, activate the toggle Activate specific dates for categories and options

3. link cisco webex locations

Once the toggle is enabled, you can link your Cisco Webex rooms directly to ticket categories or specific options. Assign the correct Webex location where needed, then save your changes.

Attendees benefit from a clear and automated experience. They receive the meeting details tied to their chosen ticket and see a countdown to the start of their session. When the time comes, they simply click the access link and join the event without confusion or extra steps.
